Vivian Daval
Vivian Daval continues his artistic research by creating light installations. His playground can be lost in nature or, on the contrary, very urban, always crossed by lights. His aim is not so much to freeze a moment as to impress the retina and make people live total sensory experiences.
A trained photographer, Vivian Daval has always worked with light. Guided by curiosity and commitment, he has explored different visual and plastic territories: graphic design, video, lighting and scenography.
Over time, his photography has become more and more plastic. He likes to make us lose our spatial and temporal reference points, moving away from reality in order to better express a discourse on it. Reality is fictionalized by staging: trees are murdered, waste comes back to life, metropolises mutate into insect-robots. By this means, the artist questions us on the troubled relations that we converse with our environment.
