Majo Cázares
After training in artistic gymnastics and dance in his youth, they discovered the circus. They trained with several teachers in Argentina and joined the preparatory circus arts course at the École de Cirque de Bordeaux, followed by training at the École Supérieure des Arts du Cirque (ESAC) in Brussels, where they has lived since graduating in 2015.
Majo works independently in Europe in circus, dance, physical theatre and cabaret. They has collaborated with the companies Atelier BTC, Les Cabaret Capricho, Circus Monti, GOP Varieté-Theater, Lumen Creations, XL Production and the Sassy Cabaret.
In 2015, they co-founded and acted as artist/production manager for the Brussels-based company Naga Collective, whose show Persona was released in 2018. They received a grant from Mexico's National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) as an independent artist in 2013, and for the Persona project in 2016. In addition to them artistic and production work, they has been teaching circus and dance since 2014. Currently, Majo is a freelance artist, performer in the show Permit, Oh permit my soul to rebel by the company Side-Show, co-organiser of the event Stripclub MeufX, teacher at Brussels Art and Pole, and resident artist at Cabaret Mademoiselle in Brussels.
