Born in Valladolid, Hugo began playing the violin at the age of 5 at his home town's Conservatoire, before leaving in 2008 to study at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique d'Oviedo with José Ramon Hevia Álvarez. After obtaining a Bachelor's degree, he continued his training at the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel, where he obtained his Master's degree (class of Kati Sebestyen). After numerous masterclasses with internationally renowned violinists, he now performs in Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain with numerous orchestras (Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra, Vlaams-Brabant Symfonie Orkest, etc.), on both viola and violin. Also a chamber musician, he has taken part in several chamber music festivals (Odysseia Festival, EuropArt Festival, etc.).
