Christophe Morisset

France
Concept, Trombone

Director, musician, actor (born in France in 1969).  Christophe Morisset holds a degree in visual arts and trained as a stage director at INSAS in Brussels. He has long combined his diverse theatrical activities with his musical practice.

His attraction to multi-disciplinary performances has led him to perform, direct or compose for various trans-disciplinary projects (theater, dance, circus, puppetry).

His musical practice (trombone, serpent, sackbut, tuba) in a number of professional ensembles ranges from early music to contemporary improvisation.

He teaches the relationship between music and movement at ESAC (Ecole Supérieure des Arts du Cirque, Brussels) and CNAC (Centre National des Arts du Cirque, Chalons en Champagne, France). Alongside his stage activities, he is developing his work as an illustrator under the name of Sapeur Papier. Several toytheaters albums have been published by "coco d'en haut".

His passion for early music led him to collaborate with Pierre Ribo to develop and promote the making and playing of the serpent.
