Ludivine Large-Bessette

France
Visual artist

Ludivine Large-Bessette is one of the artistic co-directors of LAC Project. As a visual artist and director, Ludivine Large-Bessette mixes visual arts and contemporary dance to get out of the obviousness of the scrolling of images and play with the traps of fiction. She uses film techniques as a gateway to the creation of hybrid stories. Her works invite a liberation from the artificiality in which the individual seems trapped and support the construction of contemporary allegories that attempt to capture our desires for power, our power relationships and our limits. His works are created and/or diffused in the photo and cinema festival circuit (Addis Foto Fest, Filmwinter Festival for Expended Media Stuttgart, Instants Vidéo Marseille, Internationale TanzFilmPlattform Berlin, Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, Festival International d'Art Vidéo de Casablanca), contemporary art (Salon de Montrouge, Aesthetica Art Prize York, Jeune Création, la Nuit Blanche Paris, Centre des arts d'Enghien-les-Bains, Maison des Arts de Malakoff, Le Fresnoy) and contemporary dance (le Cent-Quatre Paris, Ballet du Nord CCN de Roubaix, le Carreau du Temple Paris) His creations are part of the collections of the Contemporary Art Fund of the Hauts-de-Seine Departmental Council, the Nelimarkka museum (Finland) and the Contemporary Art Fund of the City of Paris.
