Collectif La Méandre
La Méandre is a collective of around twenty multidisciplinary artists. They are visual artists,
scenographers, writers, actors, photographers, musicians, dancers... and they help each other in their creative process. La Méandre is a floating, shifting, elusive, tentacular form that likes to tickle the public space, but not just that, meeting the public up close and questioning its place, moving into slippery, immersive terrain, blurring the boundaries between practices.
La Méandre is also a self-managed space, a permanent open workplace conducive to exchanges and interdisciplinary encounters between artists from all backgrounds. Based at the Port Nord in Chalon-sur-Saône, its premises host a number of companies in residence.
It also brings together two associations, the La Méandre collective and La Méandre Compagnie, both of which are deliberately porous and cultivate differentiation in their foundations, commitments and activities.
